Yes you do! We have different membership options – all of which we hope represent great value. Become a member here or drop in to see us and we’ll help you to sign up as a member

Don’t worry! We want everyone to be able to use our service so please send us an email in confidence (or drop in to see us) and we can arrange for our fees to be waived

The library system automatically builds in a week between loans so that we can check items over and PAT test them (where required). If you desperately want an item on a particular week and can’t reserve it then please drop us a line and we’ll help if we can 👍

We know that life happens and that things don’t always go to plan. If you find that you need the borrowed item for another week then please get in touch with us as soon as you can to let us know as it isn’t currently possible to extend the loan yourself. It isn’t usually a problem unless someone else has already reserved it. 

Yes you can – thanks for thinking of us! We can only accept items that are in good working condition though.

It’s very helpful if you can contact us with details of what you’d like to donate as we already have a good supply of some things. We can then let you know if we can use your items. We’re all volunteers and having to find new homes for items that we can’t use or are broken takes up our valuable time.

Yes! We’re a small team and our growing popularity means that extra help would be really appreciated. If you can regularly spare a couple of hours on a Saturday morning (or possibly Wednesday morning) to help us with the checking out and return of items at our Library of Things, then we’d love to talk to you. We can always use more help with checking items over and repairing them and also have a backlog of items to add into our inventory which would suit someone that likes entering data. We would love extra help with our social media and yearly accounts. Please get in touch if you think you can help in any way – we’d love to have you on board!

We would also welcome new repairers and general help (check in desk / refreshments) for our roughly quarterly Repair Cafes. Please get in touch if you are interested!   

We are aware that our current opening times are limited. If you can’t manage Saturday between 10-midday then please get in touch and one of our volunteers will do their best to meet you at another time

Don’t panic! Our ‘things’ are getting lots of use (hurray!) so some of them will break – even when being used carefully and correctly. Please let us know if you have any problems with the item so that we can attempt to fix them. We will always try to sort out a replacement item for you where possible.
